What we cater, and what we do not
We cater small wedding receptions, engagement parties, 證婚 lunches and after-parties with a buffet or finger food, from 10 to 100+ guests, usually with staffed service and optional table decoration.
We do not run traditional banquet tables with on-site cooking (辦桌), we are not wedding planners, and we do not provide venues, flowers beyond table decoration, sound, photography or the wedding cake. Tell us who else is involved and we will coordinate timing with them.
Planning the reception
- Confirm the venue allows outside catering, and ask about load-in time, power and kitchen access.
- Share the order of the day: arrival, ceremony, toasts, cake, first dance, and when guests should eat.
- Collect dietary needs with the RSVP, including vegetarian type and exact allergy ingredients.
- Decide who on your side looks after the catering team on the day, so the couple is not asked questions.
- Agree what happens to leftover food and when clearing starts.
Buffet, stations or finger food
A buffet suits a lunch or dinner reception where guests sit at tables. Finger food suits a standing reception or an after-party where people dance and move around. A mix works well for longer days: small bites while photos are taken, then a buffet. Western dishes, Taiwanese classics and dishes from Eddy’s Cantina can sit side by side, which suits couples whose families come from different places.
Staffed service on the day
With staffed service our team sets up, serves, replenishes and clears, and works to the order of the day you agree with us. The proposal states service hours, what the venue provides and what our team does, so there are no surprises on the day.
