What is the minimum notice for catering in Taipei?
We need at least 7 days before the event. If your date is closer, send the request anyway and ask: the team says whether it can be arranged for that date, kitchen and route.
When should you book earlier than 7 days?
- Larger groups, around 50 guests or more.
- Staffed service or buffet setup, which need a team and equipment on site.
- Busy seasons: 尾牙 before Lunar New Year, 春酒 afterwards, and the December holiday parties.
- Special diets, such as vegetarian, halal-friendly or allergy needs, that the kitchen must check dish by dish.
- Venues with strict rules, such as loading permits or building registration.
- Events where you want to compare several menus or taste a few options first.
What happens after you send the request?
| Step | What happens | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Send the brief | Guests, date, venue, food-ready time, service level | Any time |
| Receive the quote | Exact quote by email | Same day before 6pm Taipei time; otherwise midday next day |
| Confirm | Quote accepted, payment, kitchen availability, venue access and the service plan | Before the event is booked |
| Final headcount | Agree a date to lock the number | Set when you accept the quote |
| Delivery or service | Food arrives in the agreed window | On the day |
An inquiry is not a booking. The event is booked only after these steps are confirmed.
What can you leave until later?
- The final headcount: send an estimate now and update it by the agreed date.
- Exact dishes: start with an option, then change it dish by dish.
- Decoration and extras, if you are unsure.
- Name labels for boxes, which can follow the final list.
Can you order at short notice?
Sometimes. Say the date and the guest count in the request, and the team answers honestly whether a short-notice order is possible. A small box order for an office is usually easier to arrange than a staffed evening for 80.
