When is 尾牙 in 2027 and when should you budget?
Lunar New Year falls on 6 February 2027. Company 尾牙 dinners are held in the weeks before it, from mid-December to the last working days before the holiday, and 春酒 follows after the holiday. Set the budget early, because the date and the headcount decide most of the cost.

What else moves a 尾牙 budget?
- Headcount: confirm guests and plus-ones, and agree a date for the final number.
- Service level: drop-off, buffet setup or staffed service change the price more than the menu does.
- Serveware: disposable is the base; reusable serveware is collected after the event.
- Table decoration is optional and priced separately.
- Drinks and entertainment: say who provides them. Games and live music can be arranged on request through partners.
- Venue rules: outside catering permission, loading time and power for hot holding.
How do you keep a 尾牙 inside the budget?
- Fix the total first, then divide by the confirmed headcount.
- Choose fewer hot dishes and more dishes that hold well at room temperature.
- Ask for the same brief to be quoted as drop-off and as setup, and compare the difference.
- Do not pay for empty seats: agree the final headcount date with the caterer.
- Ask what each quote lists: dishes, portions, setup, staff hours, serveware and cleanup.
How early should you book a 尾牙?
We need at least 7 days before the event, and popular dates are in demand across the city. Send the request as soon as you know the date and an approximate headcount, then update the number later. Requests sent before 6pm Taipei time get the exact quote by email the same day.
